Actually I don't get "kids won't care about dexit kids won't care about pokemon home" unless there's something completely different about actual children now

When i was 9-13 i loved trading between my gen 3 carts + XD and transferring whatever i wanted to gen 4

What about kids who started with sun/moon or LGPE and they find out some bro of theirs got cut? sucks to like something besides pikachu or charizard I suppose

You know that infamous "we didn't put the Battle Frontier into ORAS because of phones" comment?
It's not wrong.
And really, kids aren't that different now as they were then. Plenty of kids grew out of Pokemon after G/S and just moved on to other hobbies. Now the competition to captivate their attention has increased exponentially.
Let's say theoretically, SWSH was perfect and had a full dex and excellent visuals. I don't think it would make more than 100k additional sales than it would now. Kids really don't give a fuck and just move on from shiny toy A to shiny toy B regardless of how much effort was put into it.

My little brother definitely cares about dexit. He's 15 and was gutted to hear Sandshrew wasn't in Sword and Shield.
It actually upset me to tell him he couldn't bring his Sandslash to Galar, I remember the beaming smile he had when I took his Sandshrew from Fire Red and brought it to his Soul Silver, seeing his bro from Kanto follow his character in Soul Silver.

He hunted a shiny one in LGPE and was really hoping to bring it into Galar. He'll surely make other bros in Galar, just like he did with other games, but not having that one bro you've always had really sucks.
