Steelix's maximum defense stat is less than 1,5x the maximum defense stat of kommo-o, so after account for STAB, kommo-o can hit harder with this new move 'body press'

We're not even sure Steelix learns this yet however. It certainly fits, but the odds aren't especially good when Onix and Steelix learn a sum total of ZERO Fighting moves.

No, this is more akin to Foul Play. It's always an 80 bp move, but it's damage is calculated using your defense stat. In Steelix's case - 200

I think Scrafty might be able to make good use of it. Not only does he get a good defense stat and STAB but he also has STAB Foul Play. Doesn't have much synergy with his best abilities, however.

It's kinda interesting that it's a Fighting-type move, since Fighting isn't really known for its defense, as a typing, especially compared to Steel, Rock, and Ground types. But I guess this is part of some complex balancing decision.

I have been advocating for more fighting types that don't follow the two conventional builds
>slow bulky physical tank
>fast fragile semi mixed attacker (but still more physically inclined)
This is a step in the right direction so I hope we get more niches and playstyles
