Everyone has different experiences. Some let go better than others. You just can't wake up one day and say "I'm done" especially to something that was so deeply integrated into your childhood. Pokemon was a part of many people childhood's. Of course people are going to get mad when something they cared for dearly, has become a shell of its former self.
This particular subject isn't exclusive to pokemon, it's like watching someone/or something you grew up with turn into a complete shadow of its former self.
The worse part is, Pokemon had amazing titles in the past, but as time went on, more and more features were being removed and alot of poor decisions were being made thanks to boomer management.
Yeah No. Even if you're ok with the dex-cut, only a brainlet would have zero criticisms over the games and the constant pandering to pic related, while alienating older fans. Even when we are gone, The ADHD kids will grow up and they will be ignored. It's a viscous cycle some , don't want to witness.
