No there was that faggot Volkner in DP. I thought hat was because there were not enough electric type mons in the Sinnoh regional dex before Pt, but he could have used shit like Pachirisu in addition to Luxray and Raichu. I mean they've never been reluctant to give an 8th gym leader only 3 mons.

I like the idea of a weather gym but having every other gym being monotype and suddenly the final leader's team ends up being worse than a mono-Dragon team would usually be just because they wanted to do quick and bad weather teams

I didn't see the fire one. Only one that gave him trouble was the fighting type one, mostly because he didn't heal his bird mon before going in.
