I've been playing Pokemon since fire red, i honestly can't see the reason why you people are man, the dexcut had to happen now or then, new mons are good apart from some (as for every gen)
the graphics are average
i really like the carachter design and the region.
I have nothing to complain about.. that's what i expected from GF nothing more nothing less.
The only thing i'm not satisfied with is the new evos:
I would have like the to give some ol pokemons new evos, such as dunsparce, qwilfish (as for gen 4) instead of some regional evolution which won't be able to be conceptualized in other regions.

I'm not really overly upset about the Dex cut, since I know said Pokemon will cycle around in future generations. The issue is, this dex compromise didn't provide new quality, or better features for SS. Complaining about graphics is whatever, but the overall world feels incredibly bland, the post game as usual is devoid of life, and in general Gamefreak loves making excuses for everything.

You have a Point in that, The only thing people can really complain about for this games is what you are saying (IMO, obv)
Graphics is one thing, but they surely have invested the time "spared" with the dexcut.
I personally like having one new game per year, but i Think that GF should take more time for the development of new titles.

Nah, even the defenders of SwSh still say it's "not that bad" or "okay" or "I'll still enjoy it". Just like GF have become apathetic to the franchise the fanbase that is still buying just doesn't have the energy to actually defend it or care.

Even seeing as Sword/Shield took three years to develop, there's still a definite lack of quality in these games. This isn't even their first time working with Switch hardware, either. I don't even know if longer development cycles could enhance these games anymore. It's mostly an issue with Gamefreak refusing to expand, and staying a small "indie" company, because of customs.

That doesn't mean shit. B/W sold 15 million or so, but the criticism was so harsh on Masuda, and GF, that the franchise is on the path it is now.

Eh, that's not entirely fair.
It IS still their first time working on Switch Hardware considering both S/S and LGPE were clearly in development at the same time.
LGPE literally came out less than a year ago (will be 1 year 1 day after S/S comes out). They were working on both games, which may have actually contributed to the issues considering they were also working on Town then too.

Really, the biggest issue with GF is their management. The dev team clearly can pull off decent visuals seen in LGPE, and full games given the past mainline titles, but they're constantly being mismanaged by the higher ups.
