I thought SM was fine, I'm just mad at how USUM barely changed anything and focused its miniscule amount of changes on fucking PLOT as if anyone really cares about pokemon's plot (and it made the plot worse)

All SuMo need was less fluffy cutscenes (the story/plot ones were fine) and bigger islands. The plot itself was great (for a pokemon game) and even pretty dark in places and the totem pokemon were an actual challenge and could kick your shit in if you weren't prepared. SwoShi? Well just giga your best mon and kick the gym leader's face in. We lost 60% of our Pokemon for this shit.
