The switch emulators are pretty new and buggy, as far as I know. If you have an early Switch model (without improved battery life) you can jailbreak it to run pirated games.

Go do a playthrough any of the previous games and have fun with it, maybe a nuzlocke/randomizer, hell, even if it's fucking USUM it's still a better way to spend your time than buying and playing SwSh. I believe in you, OP.
