Wouldn't we have some Galarian forms for Gen 4 Pokemon if that were the case? Like how all of the Alolan forms (minus Raichu) added a type that was rare in Kanto because they were designed with LGPE in mind.

A remake of Platinum could be excellent if they pull it off right. Let's Go looked good because they took the Kanto top-down map and updated it to Switch standards, which would work well for Sinnoh. If they leave out dynamax/gigantamax and leave the story alone and only have the Sinnoh regional dex, with a few Galarian, and a few more that didn't appear in SwSh, then we could be looking at something better than ORAS but not quite as good as HGSS

Even fucking Flint had more non-fire Pokemon than fire-types and he was the fire-type E4. Volkner had an OCTILLERY for god's sake. Are they just going to overhaul the regional Pokedex of Sinnoh, breaking the precedent for remakes or will they use Platinum's dex? Even then, that's like half the total Pokemon in Sword and Shield. The new dex policy fucks everything for these remakes. And will the gimmick just be Dynamaxing again? We're fucked.

Hopefully they make a remake of platinum instead, and actually adjust the encounters.

And seriously they should a couple more fire lines, Houndoom or Arcanine would fit well enough

But yeah, they could easily use pokemon from new regions, like Joltic and Talonflame to fill in gaps
