All the DS games are still perfectly playable, the only gen 4 changes I would make are increasing the engine speed and making tms unlimited. But I doubt a remake would alleviate these issues without introducing more issues.

Dynamaxing is not gonna be in any other gen. It only exists in Galar canonically and there's no way for that to change. It's not like mega evolution, they wrote this to be a one time thing.

This is obviously going the Yugioh route, where they keep introducing a new gimmick every so often that becomes central to the game, except Gamefreak deletes the older ones so you have to use the new one.
