It wouldn’t surprise me that much to learn that they didn’t realize this until it was crunch time and shit hit the fan as a result.
What would truly surprise me would be to learn that they pulled hundreds of staff onto manually copying models WHEN IN A CRITICAL CRISIS-MODE TIME CRUNCH instead of hiring external help to spend an afternoon fixing what is essentially a fucking .fbx converter.
