I was too busy enjoying the newer Pokemon to take issue with it, and grasped that connecting the two would have been a very particular hardware hassle for very little gain. And as is repeatedly said, we had no reason to suspect the absent Pokemon were gone for good, which Colosseum's announcement then confirmed was NOT the case less than a year later.
