In the previous generation games before SM I would pick either boy or girl and always give them their actual in game names like Ethan and Lyra, but in SM since your trainer is so customizable I’d always give it my name and pick a guy and I’m gay irl and have never played as a female cuz I don’t like girls so yeah I think if you’re a straight dude and you choose to be a female player character that’s def weird.
