it's true. they've been retconning shit left and right since g6 so i'm glad they finally bit the bullet. although i will say wild area seemed like a reasonable place to have both the rocks and the magnetic field

I don't get why people want to retcon it so bad, just add a side method so there's the original and the new way of doing things. It's not like Pokemon with multiple ways to evolve into the same thing don't already exist. You can either raise Feebas' beauty and level it up or trade it with a prism scale. You can either use the day/night cycle or locations to evolve your Eevee or you can use Leaf stones, ice stones, sun stones or moon stones. That way everyone's happy and there's a trade off. The more convenient way consumes resources but the more out of the way one doesn't. I think that would be perfect.
