Adamant or Jolly. It's a physical attacker. Natures aren't that important in the main game, so as long as you don't get a nature that lowers attack, you should be good.

All its best level up moves are physical
Even with TMs/TRs its special movepool is lacking
Again, ingame its special attack is good enough that you can run Scald even with a negative nature and it will still probably do well.
