Regional forms don't really iterate on the original pokemon. Say what you will about Mega Evolution's balancing or Dynamax, but at least those take the existing Pokemon, and essentially iterate and build on it. Alolans/Galarian forms categorically DON'T do this, instead giving an "alternate" interpretation of the mon. You like Damartian's fire typing and general aeshetic? well fuck you, Galarian Damartian completely throws that out
It also doesn't make much sense. Why do only Aloha and Galar have pokemon divering evolutionarly? Shouldn't every region have their own variations? Why is it something as major as a type change, especially since you have shit like Sandshrew adapting to the ice area in alola when there's a desert right fucking next to it.
If it was something retroactively added back to prior regions, and was more minor rather then being full typings, such as different fur patterns on Pokemon, or slightly different colors, like the image in

Dynamax itself is stupid.
