Nintendo doesn't give 2 fucks about your feelings because all it wants is a game to move consoles. Most the switch library is indie crap and inferior ports, why would a sane person spend 299 for a game they could play in much better quality on a PS4?

Metroid is unpopular, just like animal crossing. People will say they're buying it but no casual fans care that much beyond "hey that person from smash"
With all that being said, I don't think gamefreak is perfect and they do need to actually tell Nintendo/tpc to fuck off because larger developers can't handle a schedule like they have and they've never been that great to begin with.
