iirc, you don't have to win the fight against Aaron there. If you lose he just says it's expected you'd lose since he's an E4 member and leaves. Your party is fully healed afterwards

Still absolutely destroyed my nuzlocke team though.

Yeah. First time playing any rom hack, actually. I definitely enjoy the challenge.
Only problem I have with it is that NPCs give you goodies constantly. There's no better way to give you most of those items though. I'm extremely glad that the whole poketch cutscene was removed.

Yeah, DS Pokemon rom hacking tools are pretty limited compared to Gen 3 (and nowhere near what's theoretically possible now in Gen 1 and 2), so there are a lot of Gift Pokemon to work around the limitations. It's really either that or throwing them in routes as 1% encounters, which is no fun.

Is the EXP scaled accordingly? I heard the original Black 2/White 2's challenge mode made the game even easier

I think I recall reading once that no one's bothered trying to figure out how PMD works because it's a confusing mess internally, but don't quote me on that.

It raises levels and gives key trainers harder teams (like giving all the Gym Leaders 6 Pokemon instead of 5.) I don't really see how it would make the game easier. The BW exp formula means you do get more experience for fighting higher level Pokemon, but it's not like you're not going to be able to brute force it with one Pokemon.

It has issues on R4 cards specifically iirc. Make sure you used the latest patch and the correct number base rom, and if you're using a DSi or 3DS you could use Twilightmenu++ instead

Exp isn't even the start of it. Cheren has 6 pokemon, all with good movesets and competitive movesets. Of you try to cheese Roxie with magnemite, koffing has fire gem incinerate. The entire game of full of stuff like this, and it makes it clear that Pokemon games could actually be really difficult if they tried.

I have no idea about EVs off the top of my head, check the documentation that came with the hack or the hack's official forum thread.
For twlmenu you'll need to edit your cheats.dat file to add the new game ID and codes.

No, you do not need 3DS CFW to play DS games if you have a DS flashcard. You can use the flashcard just like you would in a DS.
