I like Frosmoth a lot but am I alone here in thinking they could've gone a little further with the design? Considering how weirdly some Pokemon are designed this gen I should be glad it's serviceable but I was expecting more stain glass or refracting light effects on the wings than what we got.

I might just be a huge unovafag but Volcarona pulls off the balance of elegant moth monster but still an actual moth way better. Frosmoth looks like it'd be more fitting as a Kirby enemy even if aesthetically I still like it.

I like Frosmoth design, it's elegant and still looks strong, but next to Volcarona it looks weak as fuck, like its still in it's mid evo. I wish it looked a little more like the moon butterfly from DS

It's too fucking blobby and low detail like almost everything else in this generation. Volcarona is cool because they made it semi-realistically detailed, with nicely drawn fluff, naturalistic patterns and shapes, and nice colours. Frosmoth completely falls flat because it looks like a cheap toy made of extremely basic shapes and is very low detail.
I really wanted to like this thing but I just can't, and it's the same case with a lot of Pokémon this gen. Good concepts held back by the absolutely garbage design philosophies that demands everything needs to look like Mario's about to come along and jump on its head.
