Game freak think ladders stop time now? All animations stop, pokeballs mid air pokemon mid "animation", how fucking inept are they, how did it get this bad.

if Zelda had been developed on handhelds exclusively for 20 years and then took a sudden jump to consoles I wouldn't be surprised. BoTW is made by Nintendos in house dev team, and they are far more skilled and far more knowledgeable than Gamefreak could ever hope to be. They also have much more manpower

no anon, that's what we call a strawman, because I didn't say any of this. my argument is that gamefreak is a shitty, inexperienced developer compared to most other major developers and as such you should overall expect the game to be unpolished. This is crucial information for the consumer, because this is one of the major determining factors of whether or not you should consume product.

I'm legitimately curious, ORAS had ladders you could climb in Fortree, and on top of one of the ladders you had an NPC that would occasionally turn, has anyone ever seen that NPC turn while climbing the stairs? If so, then ORAS actually managed to do something better than this dumpster fire of a Switch game.

not really. sun and moon were in development when the switch was released, and they basically immediately started on LGPE. They literally did just jump from handheld to console
