I felt that maybe this design of Darmanitan along with its Galar variation was originally planned to be in Gen 5 or it could be the original design of Darmanitan to begin before changing it to fire type.

Makes zero sense with the stats it has. Zen mode Darmanitan made sense since it reduced energy ad went into a trance state, Galarian Darmanitan atrophying the limbs to get stronger and faster makes zero sense, especially since anger is the trigger.

It ties the guru theme with the snowman theme by making the middle gem in the turban light up making it look like two eyes and a carrot nose, and it melts a little making it look like a smile.

no, its the opposite. its head is shaped like the aircraft and has aspects of it like shooting missiles and being a "spirit," but it's supposed to be the real life lizard. pokemon has done this kind of thing hundreds of times. i don't understand why you have such a problem with this one

Apart from that, the emphasis on "geometric" shapes and early-instagram-filter like colors is like 10 years old by this point. Visually, this game is a trainwreck. The fact that it is based on one of the most overdone setting in the history of media (england) is also a huge letdown.

I genuinely don’t understand how people can say this. To me, this gen has some of the worst and most un-Pokemon designs out of all of them. With most gens not every Pokemon appeals to me design wise but I can still appreciate it, but Gen 8 has so many designs I actively hate, that feel like they don’t belong in the series at all. Or are just plain unappealing in every way. I also hate that over half of the designs in the gen are just memes and jokes.
