Those are Mythical, and SwSh will probably introduce them (The left the space to put them later)

Minor are stuff like trios (Beasts, Birds, Regis) and random shits (Cresselia, Lati@s)

Those are Mythicals. We're talking about the ones that come in sets of 3 or 4.

Gen 1 - Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres
Gen 2 - Raikou, Entei, Suicune
Gen 3 - Regirock, Regice, Registeel (Also Regigigas)
Gen 4 - Axelf, Mesprit, Uxie
Gen 5 - Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion (also Keldeo)
You could also argue Tornadus, Thunderus and Landorus
Gen 6 - Nothing (they used the birds from Gen 1)
Gen 7 - Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini

No, there's a distinction in the game's code between sub-legendaries and mythicals. Sub legendaries are Pokemon like the genies, the tapus, and the legendary beasts. Mythicals are Poemon like Darkrai, Celebi and Hoopa.

Datamining shows there are 2 mythical in Gen 8, but this time GF wasn't dumb enough to keep their full data on the game beforehand

Johto had only six while shinnoh and unova had way over 10. 2 box legendaries , a random little cute dude a la mew, and a trio of whatever seems like the healthiest ammount of legendaries and mythics and shit per gen.

Gens 1-3 had the perfect amounts, and they all served the Gameplay in different ways. Legendary birds were like mini bosses, 2 of them optional. Mewtwo was the final, while Mewtwo was the final, final pokemon, and Mew was as much a mystery as anything else. Gen 2 had the dogs, which were a small part of the story while also being great as roaming legends, plus both legendary birds being available at different levels, but not required to catch through story bullshit. Groudon and Kyogre were integral parts of the story, but you didn't have to catch them to fight the other, like the shitty way it's been implemented lately. The regis are a cool as fuck optional puzzle that fleshed out the world, Deoxys is still the best event pokemon ever, and Jirachi is a lesser Mew/Cerebii. The Latis are cool as roamers, though not as cool as the beasts. Still, altogether there's plenty of variety without it being overwhelming.
I think we should always at least have the box legends, a mythical, a roamer or two, and a trio (if the trios aren't roamers). If the trios are roamers, then it'd be nice to have at least one legend functioning as the boss of a difficult area.

No, the code distinction is between "sub-legendaries" and "legendaries". The system is used to determine whether or not something is banned from battle facilities and the like.
All Ultra Beasts, Tapus, Type:Null, Heatran, Regigigas, Latios, minor trios, etc are in the sub-legendaries category.
Mewtwo, all Mythicals, and all box legendaries sans Suicune are in the legendaries category.
