Does anyone think that since Aegislash's king's shield was nerfed and now that it doesn't know toxic it will fall it OU?

Also, which electric type is going to take up koko's old throne of fast volt switching thing? Jolteon's the fastest, but its movepool is shit. Same for boltund, though it does at least get fire fang and crunch. Alolan raichu seems really good with free terrain if it dynamaxes, a great movepool, no pursuit, and nasty plot. Heliolisk is a bit on the slow side but will enjoy the weather wars and has a great movepool. Galvantuala's the slowest of the bunch but it's got webs, though a lot of mons seem to have ways of ignoring those this gen.

Still has Obstruct (which is literally kings shield that lowers defense rather than attack)
Gets Bulk Up, and gets Body Press (Physical Fighting move that does more damage the higher the users defense is)

Yeah and that's nice, but not insane like we thought it'd be. I don't know if obstruct is going to be enough to carry this thing without the crazy potential pressure belly drum and strong priority would've added.

Forgive my ignorance, but isn't Aegislash strong because of his two form mechanic? I can't imagine being in a situation where you have an opponent who isn't expecting King's Shield to the extent you can use the debuff feature reliably.

How strong are revenge killers right now?
I feel depending on average speed and how strong priority is effect the boy Charizard a lot now since he can now ignore sneaky pebbles.

If Pursuit was still a thing, it would have been nice to force a switch and still hit for huge damage.
It has good speed, but I don't see anything amazing about it anymore.

I'm not saying zard is going to be good BUT dynamax zard can summon sun with solar power and get +1 speed with max air slash/hurricane. Maybe an ok late game cleaner

Being fair though Charizard still has access to Belly Drum and without the rock weakness he might actually have the HP to use it depending on the average speed and priority, I think he has some genuine potential this gen.

It just boost HP not BST also I think the GMAX mons have a set moveset but Im not sure

The best way you could use Charizard this gen would to throw him out against a choiced quake user, which is pretty much a free +6 and roost on switch in or start trying to punish revenge kill attempts since its looking like priority is fairly weak and the general speed tier has been lowered.

Probably not for a while, considering we've heard fuck all about it since it was announced.

What hope is there for sun before the return of pic related? Leafeon get's solar blade now and has chlorophyll and 110 base attack. Seems like she might be decent.

Really? It feels like the opposite to me, Charizard doesn't need multiple turns to set up and all he needs to do is come in on something that he can scare off or something thats choiced into a ground move and he is suddenly +6 and can OKO pretty much everything.

If you're using the boots, you stay at 100 BS (which is decent in this meta), but you're at 50% health so anything faster can easily kill you.

With Salac, you'd need to have the time to Sub and Belly Drum, while keeping rocks off your field to even be able to setup.
You'd also still be outsped by +100 Scarfers (Heliolisk mainly).

Also, Barraskewda seems to be one of the biggest threat from this gen, and it outspeeds you/learns Aqua Jet.

Slurpuff is way easier to use since it also doubles its speed once it used BD.
G-Darmanitan Zen mode's is worth the risk since it has crazy stats.

speaking of which, heliolisk sounds like a great scarfer this gen. Good speed when you account for the scarf, immunity to aqua jet and shadow sneak, and can even run glare like scarf serp did to mess with all the shit that learns sucker punch now.
