>>41098944As a scorned FF fanboy who watched FFXIII play out, you're probably not wrong. Unless Gamefreak miraculously gets their shit together, the FF fandom is our future. The games will get worse and worse as the devs lose any direction in what to do with the franchise, while the fandom becomes more and more splintered as each wild leap in a random direction becomes hated by a majority, yet adored by a large niche, until there's so many different directions the franchise has taken that no one can agree on what's good anymore.
I've seen our future. It's a terrible one.
