By far, the worst pokemon OST of all time. I dont know what went wrong, all the OSTs have been bangers up to this point. I was even willing to excuse the dexit if the music was good, it means a lot to me. The only good track is Toby's. Bede's theme was ALMOST good, but too noisy

Most of it is passable at best or shit. I think the gym theme is okay but doesn't really fit the game. Although whenever any sort of that chanting comes along it ruins whatever is playing to the point I just turn off the music.

The champion music is a fucking travesty. It treats itself as if the game is already over and it's just going through the motions. Awful and miserable. I want to give Leon the worst hatefuck.

Toby's music is alright. But it's one of his worst tracks he's ever made and holy fuck does it get old fast.

Yeah, pretty mediocre. Even in Sun & Moon, the music was one of the best parts of the game. Kahuna Battle Theme is one of my favorite Pokemon songs ever. By comparison, these are definitely a let down. They all have too much going on. I do like Toby's song though.

Overall incredibly mediocre. The GL theme could have been great if they had kept the pace from the first minute and a half, then it changes entirely and it only gets worse and worse. And holy shit what is this Champion theme? Why do they have the need of having a remix of the main theme as a Champion theme again? It was the same shit with Alola and it was as bad.

It almost feels like musical form of how some non-english speakers will sometimes butcher english names and make up nonsense by stringing random syllables or letters together.

This was an attempt at making "uk style" music, which is why it's just random, disjointed instruments and mismatched melodies overlaying one another.

I didn't listen to all of them because i don't want to get spoiled so much but
The gym leader theme is great, and would be perfect if it was not for that damm second part which is so bad and useless. The chanting part is absolutely beatiful and fitting with the sports theme so well.

The Marnie theme i think is the best, so pokémonish, fitting with character, anime af, but again i have to listen to the others, but for now this is the best for me.

I don't like the Hop and Bede theme so much, Hop is too childish, bede is too messy.

The trainer battle theme is actually good, but it would've been better with less synths or different instrument in general, because the melody is pretty on point.

The Dynamax theme is fucking shit.

The pokémon encounter theme is kinda meh, but ok.

The only one of these I think is redeemable is the champion theme, but even then it sounds more like a victory lap than a challenging battle. Cynthia, Wallace/Steven, Lance, all had themes that sounded like a final battle where you were putting everything on the line; this sounds like you're walking on stage to claim a trophy you already won.
Also the canned cheering is terrible, it would be acceptable if it was a sound effect when you get a KO or something, but as a looping part of the song?

so many of these tracks sound like 3 - 4 different songs layered on top of each other and are an absolute, ear-blasting mess, bede's is a perfect example. i don't know what the fuck happened, the OST of the games is usually at least decent, the worst one being XY's which is incredibly forgettable and bland, but this is just fucking awful. it's especially disappointing when they put such a huge emphasis on the music culture and aspect in sword/shield since galar is based on the UK

I haven’t listened to much of the OST as to not get spoiled but I have to say all three rival themes are fucking great

The Gym Leader theme has definitely grown on me and I really dig the town and city themes of Motostoke and Wedgehurst

I think the weakest part of the soundtrack is undoubtedly the Wild Area. That BOTW-style vibe just doesn’t fit Pokémon
