LGPE are unironcally great games. Very fun, very polished, you can tell a lot of love went into them.
Much better games than XY/SuMo.

Hell, I found Eevee for $20 and was happy. It shouldn't be treated as a mainline adventure (or priced as one either) but as a little side quest through Kanto one more time it has a lot of charm and is fun. By no means buy it at full price, but yeah for $20 it's not bad.

It's really held back by some vital things, no abilities, Kanto dex only (which is my biggest issue with FRLG's main game), lack of wild battles (I can deal with the new capture style but not being able to battle wild pokemon is weird). I enjoyed my time with LGPE enough, but I'll never replay it and I'm glad I got it used.

They Didn't. They already made this game twice. This is the fourth time we've been in Kanto and they do it all without trying. Implementing the Go mechanic was already done for them and they just did Kanto again. Way less effort than sword and shield and it shows how bad Gamefreak is at making a polished game. They actually tried and they're crashing with Sword and Sheild. Let's Go is their fourth time making a game in Kanto and that's why it's "polished." They've done it already.

You gotta remember that Lets Go was mostly marketed towards GOmies, and they weren't too sure if GOmies would be willing to spend $300+ on this. They already know People will buy Sword and Shield because the mainline games have been selling around 15 million copies very consistently since Ruby and Sapphire.

No, it's even worse. With EV you can add at the max of 510 EV just around 120 base stats spreaded across all of them, with candies instead you can add 200 pure base stats at each single stat, meaning that you can reach 1200 stat point added.
Basically max EV give 128 points, and max candies give 1200 points, 10x than EV.
It's so broken that you can have a max candie 0 DV Caterpie surpass a no candy 31 DV Mew in total stats.

Because it literally broke the entire battle system. If every competitive team as max candies, it's a oneshot fest, it's the same reason why the competitive scene is palyed with lvl 50 pokemons isntead of lvl 100.

Learn to understand english, anon.
He didn't ask why GF cut some battle background, he hask why they have to load up a battle arena at all isntead of doing battles in the actual real mak "on real time", like for example FF XII does with enemies, still turn battles but they appen in the overworld map isntead of loading a battle dedicate arena.

He's right. GF thought the Switch was going to flop like the Wii U and most likely started developing SWSH for 3DS or possibly a new version of the 3DS that got put aside when Switch went crazy. LGPE is more detailed but its aa tiny game. Barely 200 Pokemon, a 1x1 scale of a region from 1996. SWSH was likely ported from 3DS and they made all the changes they could in a set development time. They want to cash in while Switch is hot so they rushed it.
