>Game is horribly balanced, you'll likely be multiple levels ahead of gym leaders/other important encounters>Graphics are not up to par with other titles on the Switch, and in fact seem to be up-scaled 3DS models and textures. Animations in particular leave much to be desired from a AAA console game.>Performance issues: Game is locked at 30 FPS and has massive amount of very noticeable pop in.>Lack of postgame. There is very little to do once you finish the main story. The Battle Tower provides a theoretically unlimited amount of challenges, but lacks any kind of real challenge.>Length: a story that can be completed in 10 hours falls rather short of other competitors in the genre. Combined with the lack of a postgame and you might not be getting good value to the dollar compared to other RPGs.>Glitches: From inconsistent Day/Night cycle to no music in the ultimate fight of the main story the game is filled with glitches. None of them seem to be game breaking so far, but they do impact the experience. >The Wild Area. The main selling point of the game, the wide open wild area has a numerous amount of problems, from having pokemon of a higher level than you are allowed to catch, to weather that changes radically in the span of seconds, and most importantly of all it is boring, bland and lifeless. Ultimately the game fails at a most basic level. It's technically playable but the question is why would you want to play it? Seemingly the only thing this game has going for it is the design of the Pokemon themselves, which is totally subjective to the individual.
