>>41106937Part of the problem is that the romhacking scene for gen4 games is a lot smaller. People have already been able to pick apart gen2 and gen3 games so cleanly, that's WHY the romhack scene is so flourishing for those games.
It's still difficult to customize or access many things in Gen4 games and lots of it could be down to doing lots of tedious shit in assembly, and while there are some REALLY autistic people in the Pokemon community, nobody's just really sat down to make all the modding tooling to streamline the Gen4 romhacking process.
