I know it's a route 1 shitbug but the design is pretty nice and the unique type combo is a plus. The whole "pissy mad scientist" vibe is appealing.

Big brain buge is pretty based, I'd probably use one ingame if I were buying. Also 505 bst total for a supposed early bug shitmon is pretty good. It also gets recover. I can see it being useful in UU/RU

I just don’t get why we not only needed two ladybug pokemon, but two that have design connections to space. Ledyba’s line is a lot more subtle but they’re linked to stars or some shit. And we also got a beetle last gen anyways. It’s cool but it feels redundant.

I do appreciate more grubs in media that don’t become butterflies/moths though.

I just hate the entire concept of raid-exclusives being the only Pokemon that can Gigantomax. What's even the point of catching a Orbeetle/Corviknight/whatever when the raid battles are always going to have an objectively superior version of that Pokemon, it's just bad game design.

No Anon, I like it too. It's going on my team, and judging by the stats and it's eventual gigantamax release, this Pokemon is solid. For the first psychic bug mom, it is really good. Solid defenses and decent/passable speed. Overall higher special attack than serperior

If it wasn't for blitplug, this would be my favorite bug line of Galar.
As it is, though, I like Dottler and love Orbeetle. The shiny and the UFO Gmax only makes it better.

You know G-Max isn't actually objectively better than D-Max right? Most of the G-Max moves have weaker effects than the D-Max move they're replacing.

For example, Charizard and Coalossal want to D-Max while Lapras wants to G-Max.

Coalossal's DoT effect seems to do a shitload of damage to Cinderace in that one webm tho. Was that due to the glitch or is that just how it works? If so it might be slightly better than sandstorm in situations against Pokemon that are rock-weak, especially in doubles

That depends on what you value and if this ends up transforming in weather wars 2.0 (it most likely will).
Sandstorm gives you survivability and weather. Gmax gives you raw-damage potential.
To be honest, I think the raw rock-type damage wins for me. It is 5 turns, non-stop, rock damage, after all.
