My last positive pokemon experience was over ten years ago with HGSS

I want to replay it but I don't want to lost my save with hundreds of hours on it. I also don't have 500 dollars lying around

You can inject/use mods but honestly it's not really worth it, getting Pokemon to the modern games is a huge pain in the ass nowadays
