But no. They doubled down on lying to us, as though one of the biggest group of obsessive assholes on the planet wasn't going to get fired up when we found out. Of course we're mad! Of course we were gonna find out! You don't lie to people who have supported you for literal decades, thinking they're too fucking stupid to find out!
You know what? Stop making Pokemon. Not games, keep making those. Just stop making new monsters. You have like 1,000. I would rather you add no new Pokemon and then just dump the total number we already have in there and give us a massive playground full of our favorites to cherry pick rather than have a fucking repeat of this depressing fiasco.
Because it is. It's depressing. We grow attached to our teams. It's why some of us have kept the same Pokemon - not just a Scyther with the same name as one you had multiple generations ago but that literal Scyther you caught all those years ago - through multiple games. Because they're our partners. We want to keep adventuring with them. And now you've told us no, we don't get to choose. You do. And some of us just don't get to keep adventuring with our partners. We have to sit around waiting for you to ~allow~ us to have them back.
