It legit makes me sad to see all the hate for Sword and Shield. One of my favorite parts of a new release was always getting excited on the hype trains with you fags, its been that way for me since the /tr/ days. Just another thing lost along with the moves, GTS and Dexit I guess.

I feel you.
I believed that there's no logical way Gamefreak could pass me off, but getting rid of everything that I've worked on for over a decade did it.
I just wanted to play Pokemon, but I can't in good heart go on knowing that nothing I do in the game matters anymore.
There's no longer the Gamefreak guarantee that all my Pokemon will be with me forever, they could just be cut.
And with the moves problem, now even if I did have my Pokemon it wouldn't matter, the thing that makes so many pokemon unique is the movesets.
My Petal Dance Persian will be lost to the void...

Same OP, I just liked the idea of a comfy adventure with my Bros, I even almost convinced my gf to get sword too. Then everything just fell apart so we're passing. Losing /vp/ hype so abruptly just as things were getting good makes things worse.

Im pretty new, showed up around xy's release, I had fun coming on here for battles and friend safaris and lurking when the games got datamined. Secret bases too were fun too. Disappointing as it might have been for a lot of people including myself, it was still a fun gen while it lasted and led to me learning a bit through hacking my 3ds. Then gen 7 showed up to the party and shit all over everything
