>>41122319Had to recheck what the first trailer actually was because I couldn't remember what was revealed when. The first trailer didn't do anything that would've made me decide not to buy it but also wasn't exactly promising, once stuff like Dynamaxing the Dex Cut, the Wild Area and all the other shit started appearing that's when it really fell apart for me.
As for one thing that would change my mind, there is no one thing, fact is that for me Sword & Shield is completely fucked due to several reasons, they could add back in the entire dex and I wouldn't buy it, they could cut Dynamaxing and fix up Megas and Z-Moves instead but I wouldn't buy it, they could jam a crap ton into the visual design and I wouldn't buy it. No single thing could remedy my opinion of this game, only by addressing all the issues I have with the games would I consider getting them.
This also comes from being burnt out by Gen VI and VII, XY was fine enough for me although it was underwhelming, ORAS was when the disappointments (particularly the Delta Episode and complete absence of the Frontier) started becoming more prevalent, with SM I was cautiously optimistic but was disappointed by the end result because it felt like there was a lot of cut content and not much of the new stuff (Pokemon, Plot, Trials) really had much put towards it. USUM was really the one that got me though, USUM was such a resounding disappointment and like I knew it was going to be but I deluded myself into thinking otherwise, thankfully though that's a lesson learned so I was already much more cautious with Sword & Shield and once these warning signs started popping up for the game I just decided to drop it, I kinda wish I'd done that with USUM too though, I guess SM didn't disappointment as much as I think it did in hindsight.
