It's the worst.

Gen 6 was the best. People were actually hopeful and the games only disappointed a little, but it was okay because it was the first 3D game.

With Gen 6 we also had Friend Areas, no hacks for the first six months so everything felt organic for once.

In theory? I mean obviously the best hype season would be one where everyone was hyped and we got a God-tier game.
