This was the peak of the series for me. When the B/W hype train started, I was disappointed that it didn't have either Pokewalker support or walking with pokemon. Pokewalker support could have been done, the B/W cartridges supported IR and the 'walker doesn't have sprites built-in, they are transmitted when connecting to the game. Only after being disappointed with X/Y I realized how good the B/W/2 -line also was.
GameFreak, can we go back to this level of polish and love for Pokemon? When even the non-event legendaries had a decent in-game story/challenge/area before encounter, not just some generic floating portal or ultra space. I want to spend 100s of hours on post-game, events and cathing 'em all again, I want to lose to gym leaders again, and I want my Pokemon team to feel as authentic as possible, not just a gameplay tool to beat 10-20h of main story gameplay.
