Goddamn these games are amazing.
>Peak selection of new Pokemon, 99% of which have at bare minimum a 7/10 design. Literally only 2 bad eggs from the entire dex which is incredible
>Memorable routes with lots of exploration and secrets
>Great OST
>Best box legendaries
>Introduced Mega's
>Introduced Fairy type
>GTS + PSS were amazing
>Best competitive scene Pre-Pokebank
>Best breeding + trading scene of any gen
>Friend Safari's were great
Only downsides
>No Pokemon Z remake to expand upon the game and really flesh out everything else
>The game wasn't designed with exp share in mind so you could easily overlevel (this first impression of the new exp share is what gave it such a negative image even to this day despite gen 7 fixing its games to be built with exp share in mind)
>Overall easier than normal difficulty
