I'm not at all surprised by the positive critical reception Sword and Shield are getting. I'm also expecting them to sell well despite how shitty and watered down they look. I've accepted it and have already moved onto other monster collecting franchises, and don't feel angry about the state of these games anymore. I'm just disappointed with all the mindless fans that are not just content, but legitimately happy to choke on Gamefreak's cock. Why the fuck do Pokemon fans have such low standards? Blizzard, EA, Bethesda, and other such companies are rightfully torn a new asshole when they put out shitty, half-baked products but when it comes to Pokemon half the fandom just throws all standards and expectations for a good product out the window.
