No they aren't all a review should be is a formal examination of a product stating the facts about the product so that the consumer can choose whether or not it is worth their money.

The problem with reviewers in the entertainment industry is that entertainment like video games and movies can drudge up particular emotions even if the quality and execution of that piece of entertainment are terrible leading to absolutely terribly shitty reviews either filled with opinions and feelings or made up justification to protect something that made them feel good

I have never ever seen something that fits this description being referred to as a "review". They're always telling you what you should think about its characteristics and giving it a score, a judgment and outright telling you if you should buy/play it or not instead of making you form your own opinion.

It's because most reviewers are bought off or fucking terrible at their craft, I have known a couple and its all fucking terrible they play a game for a day or two and then poach off each other while writing really arbitrary bull shit as an add on because it felt good at the time

A journalist deals in objective facts and news. A good journalist would be doing interviews and getting facts about why the dexcuts happened, who put pressure on the dev team, and how much of the assets were recycled.

Criticism is a subset of journalism which deals in subjective critique. Does this piece of art work structurally? Is it engaging? What techniques are used to create that effect? The INSTANT someone mentions "fun" or "pacing" They're entering subjectivity land and its an opinion whether you realize that or not.

You can 100% evaluate a game within your mind and compare it to past and present games and all sorts of universally recognized criteria. You can look at what is more universally appealing and form an opinion with that as well. You can also look at genuine facts, like the length of the game, the bugs, the glitches, the difficulty, the range of sounds, the level of control, all sorts of factual things.

I mean if you're telling me that a game like Atari's ET is objectively the same as a game like Zelda : Breath of the Wild, then you are just being completely ignorant and you're living in a reality where common sense just doesn't exist.
