Petting is gone because they're too lazy to think of "good spots"/"sensitive spots" and special interactions for new Pokemon going forward.

I loved this feature so much.

It breaks my heart that they didn't include it.They could have at least let us pet our pokemon my by hovering over them with the cursor/arrow keys.

I even enjoyed those shitty minigames in XY

They managed to deliver more content-filled games with XY and SM.
They don't need more employees, they need better management of them, along with more time. Dev time has been split between LGPE, Town and SS, and from what we've seen SS has gotten the least amount of care put into it.

That was literally the only thing I would have still considered buying the game for since if I wanted a good monster tamer JRPG I would be playing Cyber Sleuth or SMTIV instead.... Yeah, call me a stupid casual girl but that is literally it, the final nail in the coffin. Fuck this, this really ruined my day.

then you haven’t watched all of the streams or pirated it. There is a lot of care put into aspects like gym battles and in battle trainer animations, it starts looking rushed as hell towards the end when the 8th gym is literally just a room full of trainers and a gym leader, which proves my point of them needing more time

In my opinion, the new ways are really bad
coocking or using toys
I tryed the latter and the ball is disastrous
since there are now more pokemon on the screen it's difficult to effectively make them play
