i think we know that more regions are confirmed, pokemons an industry plant that grabs its long time fans as well as catering to kiddies. Of course its gonna keep making more main titles. just like nintendo does with mario, legend of zelda and most of their other mainstream titles, Nintendo is going to milk gf till we die.

I feel like since Gamefreak keeps bungling real-world locations to the point "theme park" is the best case scenario, maybe they should do a Mario and have a region where the culture is entirely environments like a plain with normal-type mons, desert with ground and fire people, jungle of grass/bug/poison, snow area with ice and water, mountain with rock and flying, castle area with fairy, castle area with dragons, etc.

That's true! Even if we don't include the ones that directly mention China, we're still left with the most recent ones from US/UM and LGPE:

So it seems they kept the intention of a Chinese region, but retconned calling it China directly.
