Are there any actual instances of death threats/harassmemt being sent to GameFreak or are shills just coming up with shit and spreading misinformation cause they can't think of any other way to defend these games?

No there isn't, probably closest thing was probably that rumour that autists on 2ch where stalking the schedules of Masuda/Ohmori, and that's why they cancelled the release event.

That and female (((reviewer))) getting absolutely chewed out rightfully so for their extremely bland and biased reviews that literally do not mention any of the new features in this generation outside of Dynamaxing.

Go find any credible female reviewer on Twitter with a blue check next to their name and cross-reference any articles they have written up. Come back to me when you find something well written and elaborate. Oh wait, you can't because all these people capitalized on the "incel" shit from Gamergate and got into positions of power through social circles. More often than not game reviewers are giving positive reviews to content that do not deserve it because they are either getting paid for them, don't want to lose the rights to review further games from those companies, or are doing a favour for one of their indie friends. The entire industry is fucked and we unironically need an industry crash to clean the slate, while also making sure these people never slide their way to the top of the ranks again.
