Tried to see if fish chaining was still a thing last night, every 10 encounters I got a yellow aura, but no shiny. I stopped at around 40 cause my Pokemon were getting over leveled

Gonna have to wait for datamines on this one. There's no in-game text hinting at specific methods and you're not gonna manage to get enough people to catch 50+ of the same mon in a row to get a decent sample size.
Word going around is that raid bosses have a higher chance but that could be bull.
