>>41156538Expecting the game not to be an unpolished turd with graphical errors and design choices you'd expect from a PS2 game is not unrealistic. Expecting the game to have more than 15 hours of content is not unrealistic. People are voicing their opinions and you're acting like everyone is sperging on every thread just because they're making fun of a Pokemon game and voicing their disappointment.
>>41156842>Companies don't owe you anything!NOBODY is saying they do. For fuck's sake I am tired of this argument. I understand that's not what you're saying here but I need to vent - I'm a gamedev, and if I want people to buy my product, support my product, and market my product I understand that my product needs to meet or exceed the expectations placed on that product. Pokemon, in particular, seems immune to this universal rule of business. That's frustrating. It's obnoxious to see people claim that you aren't allowed to criticize a business for making bad choices.
GameFreak is providing a product that they are advertising as being premium quality. When people get the product and it is revealed to be low quality people are right to be upset. People are right to question the leadership as long time supporters of the company. People are right to say "next time I think I will save my money," because that enacts change. Right now they aren't only providing a bad product, but bad service, all while engaging in deceptive practices.
Review sites are being paid for good reviews and copies sold through links, they are dishonestly describing their development cycle, they are giving us less content than ever, they are actively supporting people who make fun of people who are upset.
I'm tired of it. It's so annoying.
