Last midnight launch I went to was for Sun and Moon and I still remember the stank from that crowd. Not that eager for this launch but it beats going in the morning to play it slightly earlier I guess

my local EB had a poster advertising that they would start selling at 10pm on the 14th, so like half an hour ago (melbourne time). Check your local EB if you're planning on getting it at midnight, you might be able to get it a little early

Nah I don't like the direction the games are going so I'm not spending my money on it which is a fucking shame because I was really looking forward to it.

Silver lining is I can focus on other games though, buying DQXI next week and grabbing Zelda BOTW for Christmas.

EB price matches if:
-there is a store in the same complex
-AND it's open right now
-AND they have a catalogue with this price listed in it
-AND they have stock (they will call and check)

It's honestly not worth it. If they'll price match, you can walk 200m to the JB and buy it there.

Sounds like you've dealt with some shit staff. The ones near me don't check any of that, one of them doesn't have any other department/games store in the building. I think they have a list of prices they can match to and they just asked what store I wanted them to match.

OP here, just came back from the launch in my city. It was pretty dead, maybe like 40 people, mostly consisting of cringy emo kids with a good collection of Pokemon plushies that they may have bought from home and hambeast coloured-hair trannies.
