It was a fun and solid run. No surprise of course, Aerodactyl carried the team at the end, but after raising it from level 5, I had hoped so. It was the only one that could really kill, aside from maybe a good Blizzard/Thunder/Fire Blast from Clefable. Not even a solid Sky Uppercut from Hitmonchan could OHKO Bruno's Onix, like, what?
FRLG really show their age as the first remakes now, though. The Sevii Islands are kinda nice, but GF didn't really nail down a good-post game until gen 4. For this post-game and the E4 rematches (which I'll probably never get around to grinding for), I've added a Mantine, Misdrevous, and Porygon 2 to the party, so that's nice it felt worth it to do so. Maybe I've just replayed these games too much these past 15 years, but the game felt pretty stale. Still serviceable, though, with some RBY charm still present in most cases, at least.
