Well, technically all the anime is canon but you have to be such a braindead fanboy to not even consider the posibility of AUs considering the fact Ash is still a 10 year old after +1000 episodes, among other things (and the problem isn't even that he doesn't grow up, he outright looks younger in BW and SM than in previous season(s) kek).
