Makes the game too easy. Going through places like mt pyre was a hard thing to do and you felt accomplished because whenvyou reached lavender town your team was almost dead. With this system, just swap your fainted pokemon

I love how all the improvements to the Pokémon franchise come down to removing mechanics of the game the devs of previous games put there willingly. Like tutorials, HMs, random encounters, endless grinding. It's such a poorly thought game that the devs have to listen to the fans ASKING to remove these mechanics so the game can be improved. And they always do so 1 bit per game. It might take another 10 generations before everything that is infuriating in this game is finally removed and we can enjoy the core mechanics without all this frustration.
