Dexit was a big red flag but I think if the game and region were as polished as something like BW2 Unova a lot of people could deal with it, even moreso if GF told us they could patch in the missing Pokemon in some form.
The problem with SWSH is that it has a whole host of problems OUTSIDE Dexit and Dexit is the icing on the shit cake that shows even when GF cut the Pokedex, they still couldn't be assed to flesh out their game.
