I personally pirated it cause I wanted to try it out but didn’t wanna monetarily support gamefreak. If that’s not an option for you and you wanna play the game then just play the fucking game.

I would like to buy *a* pokemon game, but I also wouldn't want to buy it if it really isn't worth my money or time. If I can get about 1hour of fun for every 1 or 2 dollars then I consider it worth my time personally - so the price is an important factor.

Get a copy of x or y then. X and y are fairly decent and offer lots of time per dollar if you're gonna collect em all. Otherwise, go for heart gold and soul silver, they have a great post game and overall best game in series imo
