this biggest benefit of platinum over diamond/pearl other than the comfy winter aesthetic was that they increased the speed of the really slow parts of the game

My issue with every single DS entry is that the pseudo 3D aesthetic looks like shit, especially on emulators. It's like the whole wold is falling apart as your character moves.

I know for a fact the surfing speed is increased.

In DP surfing uses the same speed as walking, in platinum it uses the same speed as running.

This romhack fixes the garbage pacing, piss easy gym rosters and crappy Pokemon distribution as well as adding fairy type and more neat stuff
it also comes with a speed patch that unlocks the framerate and lets it run at 60fps as well as disabling many useless animations
