Nowhere is Kanto mentioned in any interview. Headcanon is not canon.

it is fact that they were having trouble fitting Kanto in because of the limits of the GB since the Spaceworld demo version of Kanto is fucked

They have never stated this anywhere and it's just an assumption due to Kanto being a city in the demo, which was never shown to players anyway.

They delayed Gold and Silver because they were understaffed, overworked, burned out, and because Nintendo wanted them to localize Red and Green.

Not him but can you elaborate? I thought the compression tools were necessary because of the localizations, since western languages are heavier on characters. Or am I thinking of gen I like what >>41178766 said?

I don't know where the Kanto part of this came about, but it doesn't appear to be based on official sources.
